Kaweah Delta Health Care District has 3400 employees and 275+ physicians on staff. The District, as a whole, currently operates 581 beds but more are on the way. We offer state of the art facilities including a 452 bed regional medical center, a regional cancer center, a regional heart center, outpatient imaging center, 2 dialysis units, SNF, assisted living facility, Alzheimer’s center, rehabilitation hospital, mental health hospital, hospice services, home health and outpatient surgery center.
We offer tremendous IT infrastructure with a completely wireless hospital, Inpatient EMR, and FUJI PACS capabilities. These services are available in the hospital, in your office, and in your home. Our medical service area is over 500,000 and we are a Level III trauma center. More technology can be seen in the MAK pharmacy project, Drager Telemetry system, 64 slice CT, EVO and D'Vinci robotics technology. The hospital is dedicated to technological advancement.
Graduate Medical Education will arrive at Kaweah Delta Health Care District in 2013 with the addition of residencies in Emergency Medicine & Family Medicine. Psychiatry and Transitional Year residencies will go live in 2014. General Surgery will round out our residency offerings in 2015. All residencies are affiliated with UC Irvine.

Kaweah Delta Health Care District plays a significant role in the health and well-being of California's great Central Valley. For more than 40 years, we have provided a wide array of state-of-the-art and nationally recognized services.
Nearly 15 years after establishing its open-heart surgery program, Kaweah Delta has been nationally recognized, has performed more than 6,000 open-heart surgeries and is the ninth busiest hospital in the state. Now under the leadership of two experienced and talented cardiothoracic surgeons including former Mayo Clinical Associate Sergio Caminha, MD, and Leheb Araim, MD (Kaweah Delta physician of the yaer 2010), our program offers patients a full range of cardiovascular services at our state-of- the-art facility, the Acequia Wing at Kaweah Delta Medical Center.
Kaweah Delta has made a name for itself as the region’s leader in cardiac care through the support of board-certified cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and vascular surgeons work with Kaweah Delta’s dedicated heart team. This team is made up of physicians who help provide you with 24-hour medical care before and after surgery, prefusionists (highly-specialized health professionals qualified to take care of your heart and lungs) and registered nurses specially trained to care for critical care patients. Together, we work as a team to provide patients with integrated and scientific-based medicine - all the specialized care and support you need for heart care right here in Visalia.
