The hospital is the anchor for Holy Spirit Health System, which has over 2,800 employees, net revenues of approximately $283 million, and outstanding facilities, including a 140,000 square foot cardiac care facility. Holy Spirit Hospital provides a full spectrum of care to the residents of central Pennsylvania, including inpatient and outpatient hospital-based services, primary care physician practices, and inpatient sub-acute care.

-U.S. News & World Report has ranked Holy Spirit Hospital as one of the best hospitals in Pennsylvania for 2013-14. The annual U.S. News Best Hospitals rankings, now in their 24th year, recognize hospitals that excel in treating the most challenging patients. U.S. News & World Report has ranked Holy Spirit Hospital as one of the top 20 “Best Hospitals” in Pennsylvania; one of the five “Best Hospitals” in South Central Pennsylvania; and one of the two “Best Hospitals” in the Harrisburg Metro area. Holy Spirit Hospital was honored as a high-performer in eight specialties: diabetes and endocrinology, gastroenterology and GI surgery, geriatrics, gynecology, nephrology, neurology and neurosurgery, pulmonology, and urology.

-Best Places to Work in PA 2012 - Holy Spirit Health System was named one of the “Best Places to Work in PA” in the large-sized company category in 2012. Holy Spirit Hospital was also named “Best Places to Work in PA” in 2011, 2010, 2009, 2004 and 2003.

-2013 HealthCare's "Most Wired" - Holy Spirit Health System was named one of the 2013 HealthCare’s “Most Wired.” Only 289 organizations nationwide made this list. In the 15th annual survey conducted by Hospitals & Health Networks, the flagship publication of the American Hospital Association, results show U.S. hospitals have made big strides in laying the foundation for robust clinical information systems.

-“100 Great Places to Work in Healthcare” - Holy Spirit Hospital was named to the 2013 annual list of “100 Great Places to Work in Healthcare” published by Becker's Hospital Review and Becker's ASC Review. Editorial teams for the publications accepted nominations and selected recipients based on nominations and thorough editorial research.

-National "Top Performer" for Quality. The Joint Commission named Holy Spirit Hospital one of the top performers on key quality measures in its "Improving America’s Hospitals: The Joint Commission’s Annual Report on Quality and Safety 2011 report." Holy Spirit ranks in the top 14 percent of all Joint Commission accredited healthcare facilities across the nation. Holy Spirit received top honors for heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia care.
