About the Role
We are seeking Float Nurses (RN or LPN, Levels I & II) to join a collaborative pediatric care team serving families across our West Cary and Raleigh clinic locations. This position offers the chance to support multiple providers and specialties while gaining diverse clinical experience. Travel between sites is required.
Position Options
Registered Nurse (RN) - Level I
Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver direct pediatric nursing care under provider guidance. \n
- Manage clinic workflow to ensure timely, high-quality patient care. \n
- Perform routine lab testing and maintain accurate documentation. \n
- Educate families on care plans using evidence-based guidelines. \n
- Collaborate with nurses, medical assistants, and support staff. \n
Requirements:

- Active RN license in North Carolina. \n
- High school diploma or equivalent (healthcare-related coursework preferred). \n
- Current BCLS certification. \n
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities. \n
Registered Nurse (RN) - Level II
Key Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership and clinical support for the care team. \n
- Manage complex patient needs with independence and sound judgment. \n
- Conduct advanced telephone triage, referrals, and care coordination. \n
- Mentor and assess the competencies of new and existing staff. \n
- Act as a primary resource in urgent/emergent care situations. \n
Requirements:

- Active RN license in North Carolina. \n
- Minimum of 6-12 months of proven performance at Level I. \n
- Current BCLS certification. \n
- Experience managing both acute and chronic pediatric conditions. \n
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Level I
Key Responsibilities:

- Provide hands-on pediatric care under RN and provider supervision. \n
- Conduct basic patient assessments and maintain detailed visit notes. \n
- Assist clinic flow with scheduling and phone triage. \n
- Perform standard lab tasks (capillary sticks, heel sticks, kit-based testing). \n
- Support care coordination and follow-up calls. \n
Requirements:

- Pediatric experience preferred. \n
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Level II

- Perform advanced procedures (venipuncture, catheterizations, cultures). \n
- Manage full cycle of telephone triage and documentation. \n

Qualifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Active unencumbered Registered Nurse North Carolina state license
- Graduate from a fully accredited Registered Nurse program
- One year of work experience as Registered Nurse
- One year of EMR experience
- Board Certified

- Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
- Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.

- A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
